Resumes
The UCLA Career Center provides a great article on resumes that gives an overview of the matter as well as a variety of tips and tricks that you should definitely include in yours. You can access the article here. Chapter 6 of the UCLA Career Guide also goes in-depth on resumes, providing more thorough advice as well as example resumes that you can consult for your own benefit. You can access the chapter file here.
Casing and Interviews
For casing, there are a lot of good resources that you can use. For one, we have the Consulting Connect File Section on our Facebook which includes a multitude of sample cases that you can access here. Our Facebook page is private, so you will gain access soon after you submit a request. These cases will give you a sense of how your interviews might look like and also offer you the opportunity to challenge yourself by practicing an actual case.
A variety of consulting firms such as Bain & Company, BCG, and McKinsey & Company provide resources for casing interviews, some of which you can access on their websites here, here, and here. These articles offer an overview of how each firm shapes their business cases which can help you to become accustomed to a variety of case types.
Finally, you can always look at YouTube for help as there are many great videos on casing and examples of cases from a variety of firms on the platform. One of our favorite videos, which provides an introduction into casing, its different forms, and the classic frameworks used to break down the core problem within the case, can be watched here.
We hope that these resources will help you in your time recruiting for 180 DC and for further help make sure to attend Consulting Connect’s Cracking Consulting Club Recruitment event on October 4th from 7PM to 8PM (Registration Link: https://tinyurl.com/Cracking-Club-Recruitment)
